Charter grading

We use a rating chart adopted by the majority of certification companies.

Centering

(from 1 to 10)
The centering is measured by a software based on the "centering tool" which accurately calculates the centering of a map.

Corners

(from 1 to 10)
Corners are carefully inspected with a magnifying glass and under a microscope to see any imperfections.

Borders

(from 1 to 10)
The edges are also carefully checked with a magnifying glass and digital microscope to detect any defects or malfunctions.

Surface

(from 1 to 10)
Double-sided surfaces are scrupulously examined with the same optical equipment.

How is the final grade assigned?

The final score is calculated on the total of the scores given to each criterion (centering, corners, edges and surfaces).
An overall average is established and the result is rounded to the highest decimal place.

Exemple 1
Centering : 9.5
Corners : 9.5
Borders : 8
Surface : 10

Total : 37

37 / 4 = 9.25

Overall rating : 9.5

Exemple 2
Centering : 9.5
Corners : 10
Borders : 10
Surface : 10

Total : 39.5

39.5 / 4 = 9.875

Overall score : 10
